2019-2020 Annual Research Fellowship Competition

The Annual Fellowship Competition is inviting proposal from scholars all over the world. The proposal may be coming from all relevant academic discipline such as anthropology, archaeology, art history, geography, film studies, German studies, history, Jewish studies, law, literature, material culture, philosophy, political science, psychology, religion, comparative genocide studies, and others.

Where: United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, USA

Nationality: International Candidates

Value of Fellowship: Monthly stipend of $3,700 (for local housing, and living expense)

Degree Programme: Research Fellowship (from September 1st 2019 until August 31st 2020)

Eligible:

  • Candidates shall be working on their dissertations (ABD), be postdoctoral researcher, and senior scholar.
  • This awards are granted on a competitive basis
  • Scholar who is early in their career are encouraged to apply
  • Applicants who have received a fellowship award from the Mandel Center in previous cycles may not re-apply unless seven years prior to the previous residency.

To apply for this fellowship programme, all applicants must submit application through Online Application System which can be found at http://apply.ushmm.org/. Through the online application, you will have to upload the following documents:

  • An Online Application form
  • A Project Proposal (in PDF format, not more than 5 pages of single-spaces pages)
  • A summary of Curriculum Vitae (CV), not more than 4 single-spaced pages
  • Two signed letters of recommendation
